From the time Linda, Evansville, IN native, was an elementary student to her undergraduate and graduate college years at Kentucky Wesleyan College, Evansville College, and Western Kentucky University; she was always working on creative projects. Choosing to become a teacher fit her talents well.
Linda taught 4th grade for 20 years and then spent 12 years teaching middle school gifted talented language arts within Daviess County Schools in Owensboro, KY; finishing her teaching career with Kansas Connections Academy teaching high school English for 5 years.
Some might say that in addition to being creative, Linda is a great project organizer with good writing/editing skills, co-authoring curriculum guides. Linda Kaye Smith Preuss Brown Bambini has always loved projects no matter what her last name was! Co-authoring Let’s Talk Trees with husband Adrian has been the crème de la crème of creative projects.

Adrian Bambini has always loved nature and plants. While living in East Bridgewater, MA, as a youngster, he helped his parents with their commercial greenhouse and floral business. He graduated from Stetson University in 1965 with a degree in chemistry and a minor in botany. He later received his MBA from Florida State University. During his 20 years in the US Army as an army chemical corps officer, he authored many studies, standard operating procedures and instructional guides.
After retiring from the army in his 40’s, he devoted much of his time to volunteer actions involving nature and children. He is a Master Gardener, a University of KY designation. For 20 years he helped develop the extensive trail system at the Saunders Springs Nature Preserve in Radcliff, KY and oversaw their educational programs.
In 2019 he moved to Owensboro, KY to marry Linda. He continues his passion for the great outdoors by volunteering his time and expertise at the Western KY Botanical Garden and the Joe Ford Nature Park. He also helps with trail maintenance at Camp Loucon, a church camp in Anneta, KY.
He has a passion for talking to children about nature as he leads them on walks along trails through wooded areas.
These interactions with children led to the writing of this book which compares and contrasts a child’s family tree to tree families.
By using Linda’s literary skills and his background in working with children in a natural environment, they make a dynamic duo.
Be the first to find out when Adrian gets up to more shenanigans.
